Henri Ehrhart ‘Harmonie’ Crémant D’alsace, France
Aromatic fresh & fruity. This Crémant Brut has a beautiful pale yellow colour.
Sainchargny ‘Catharsis’ Crémant De Bourgog Rosé, France
Using classic Burgandy grapes (chardonnay and Pinot Noir) made in a light pink dry style. Refined, elegant, sophisticated citrus & strawberry.
Balfour 1503, Kent, England
A straw yellow colour with a beautiful sparkle. Fine, abundant bubbles. On the nose there are delicate fragrances of white peaches, citrus fruit and orange blossom develop, followed by notes of hazelnuts and sweet spices.
Veuve Cliquot 2015 Vintage
Vintage Champagne is seriously rare from Veuve Clicquot. And this one certainly doesn’t disappoint.
Laurent-Perrier Rosé NV
In 1968, Laurent-Perrier broke tradition and changed sparkling wine forever when they created this.
Deutz Brut Champagne
Intense gold colour with fine effervescence. On the nose, the wine initially displays notes of hawthorn and white flowers, which are followed by aromas of toast, marzipan and ripe pears. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and elegant with the freshness of Chardonnay and richness of Pinot Noir.
SUNSHINE & SEA
Chemin Des Dames Colombard, Languedoc, France
A medium-dry wine, offering ripe honeydew melon, nectarine and pineapple fruit with an attractive sweetness.
Molino A Vento, Fiano, Sicily
You might not recognise this lesser-known grape. Aromatic and tropical, the warm Sicilian climate builds sugar, creating texture and complexity. Despite these fruity notes, the wine remains dry. A delicious combination.
CHARDONNAY
Passy Le Clou Chablis, France
Fresh & flora aroma with notes of green apple. The palate has classic Chablis minerality (dry and slightly savoury, like sea air or a wet stone) with a long, elegant finish. Superb wine.
Louis Latour Grand Ardèche Chardonnay, Burgandy
Creamy, toasty and fruity – a warmer, richer Chardonnay than a Chablis with more orchard fruit and brioche & almond notes.
Like Chardonnay but want to try something different?
Lyrarakis Assyrtiko, Crete
Touted as Crete’s answer to Chablis, Greek wines are increasingly popular. Assyrtiko produces crisp, mineral-driven wines with a fresh, sea-influenced character.
Riscos Viognier Reserva, Chile Like Chardonnay, Viognier is an old world grape with French beginnings. Here, we see a New World expression from a very warm climate, leading to a much riper tasting wine than a chablis. Soft, rounded, with notes of ripe peach and apricot.
SAUVIGNON BLANC
Les Garraudes Sauvignon Blanc, Pays D’oc, France
Intriguing us from the off, this is a French SB, with New Zealand characteristics – green fruits & citrus with some herbal nuances, albeit more restrained with a bit more mineral and a hint more elegance.
Jackson Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, Nz
Another well-loved style—crisp, fresh, and aromatic. Marlborough wines stand out for their sunny yet cool climate, producing bold flavours balanced by ocean breezes, creating their signature gooseberry note.
Domaine Reverdy Ducroux Sancerre, France
A well-regarded Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley. Cooler climate than Pays d’Oc limits production, increasing desirability. Light yellow with floral, fruity notes, it’s balanced with a long, fresh finish.
Like Sauvignon Blanc but want to try something different?
Ormarine ‘Sea Pearl’ Picpoul De Pinet, Languedoc, France
Languedoc region again – so warm weather, lots of vibrancy. But the grape lends itself to being clean, crisp, snappy, zippy, racy! Think green apple with a citrus nose.
SPANISH WHITE
Beronia Rioja Blanco, Spain
The star - Spain excels here. While red Rioja (Tempranillo) is better known, that expertise shines in white Rioja (Viura). Elegant and complex, with herbs, citrus, and delicate white floral notes.
Come Pulpo Y Bebe Albariño, Spain
Albariño produces crisp, lively, clean wines. Sunshine enhances its fruity aromas, balanced by apple and citrus notes, making it a knock-out choice with orwithout food.
PINOT GRIS vs PINOT GRIGIO
Henri Ehrhart ‘Élément Terre’ Pinot Gris, Alsace, France
From a top Alsace producer, this wine shows apricot, peach, and roasted almond aromas. Opulent yet savoury, with a light smoky finish despite being medium-dry. Crafted with extended ageing and careful harvesting-well worth trying.
Gufetto Pinot Grigio, Italy
We have a lovely one. It’s straw yellow, with hints of exotic white fruit, white floral scents, fresh and fragrant wine. If you want to try the Pinot Gris and then come back to this, that’s ok too.
Henri Ehrhart ‘Ehrh’art’ Rosé, Alsace, France
Super interesting with a notoriously pretty label. It’s Pale pink (tick!) but has aromatic intensity with notes of violets and cherries; a real treat.
Le Colline Di San Giorgio Pinot Grigio Rosé, Italy
Fresh apricot and peach on the nose; soft floral flavours on the palate and a refreshing, pleasantly smooth finish.
Balade Rosé Romantique, Languedoc, France
Neighboroughing Provence made in a similar style but a bit more berry, a bit more colour and a bit more affordable!
Peyrassol ‘Les Papillons Bleus’ Organic Provence Rosé, France
Pale and dry, yet fruity and generous, with a surprisingly long finish. Highly recommended.
“DRINK ME NOW”
Viertalo Tempranillo Garnacha, Spain
Smooth ripe red berry flavours and soft tannins, making it an easy-drinking, well-balanced wine. Viertalo translates as ‘pour it’!
Baron De Baussac Carignan, Languedoc Roussillon, France
The unsung hero grape of France. Not widely seen, it has unique qualities that create generous, soft wines packed with flavour. Smooth, with voluptuous black cherry fruit and subtle vanilla. Perfect by the glass or as an easy bottle to share after work, before dinner.
Henri Ehrhart ‘18 Mois’ Pinot Noir
Our top producer offers a red that’s a great alternative to Burgundy Pinot Noir. Alsace adds nuance, and 18 months in French oak gives subtle cedar and toasty notes. Using older barrels keeps it balanced, with rich red fruit and harmony.
ROMANTIC REDS
La Casetta” Valpolicella Ripasso, Veneto, Italy
Northern Italy’s cooler climate creates lighter wines. Using Ripasso adds richness, giving a lush, flavourful style with cherry, fig, sweet spice, vanilla, and oak notes.
Saverio Faro Nero D’avola, Sicily
Over to our friends in Sicily, think warm sunshine (not too jammy as cooled by the all that sea around it), velvety flavour, ripe red forest fruit, bit of pomegranate, bit of pepper. Yummy & moreish. Popular by the glass.
Tilia Cabernet Sauvignon, Chile
Take Nero d’Avola with added perfume and structure, creating a silky, rounded wine with plum, violet, and vanilla notes. Cabernet thrives in sun and cool nights - aromatic and enjoyable despite its depth.
Valiano ‘Poggio Teo’ Organic Chianti Classico Riserva, Tuscany, Italy
Wow—if you’re looking for a star pick, this is it. Ideal with friends over Sunday lunch. Full of structure and flavour, it captures the romance of red wine. Aged 18 months in French oak, then 12 in bottle, it’s complex yet ready to drink.
TIMELESS FOR A REASON
Terra Vega Merlot Reserva, Chile
A classic expression of Merlot, a noble grape famed for its Bordeaux roots and premium revival. This Chilean Reserva offers concentrated blackberry and plum, fine tannins, and a soft, balanced structure. Approachable yet refined, it’s a food-friendly wine.
Beronia Rioja Crianza, Cza Edicion Limitada, Spain
Another star pick-particularly special. Aged longer than a typical Crianza, it shows in its elegance and bouquet. Red cherry leads, layered with cinnamon, cacao, spicy pepper, chamomile, and thyme. Ripe, juicy, velvety-perfection.
Pasarisa Malbec, Mendoza Argentina
Another high altitude Argentinean wine. Warm days for ripening luscious flavour, cool nights for freshness. This has finer tannins, elegant mouth-feel, violet nose with a rich plum, oak & vanilla flavour.
Esprit De Lussac, Lussac St-Emilion, Bordeaux, France
In Bordeaux, styles split between the left bank (bold, structured) and right bank (soft, plush). This right bank style shows juicy black fruit, cranberry notes, and hints of smoky sandalwood, with complexity and firm tannins for traditionalists.
OLD WORLD SYRAH vs NEW WORLD SHIRAZ
Côtes Du Rhône, E. Guigal, france
A classic Rhone Valley syrah, and well-recognized label, it has peppery, spicy, earthy & herbaceous notes. It’s a famous terroir and a famous grape and has met a great challenger in the South African New World shiraz.
Ghost In The Machine Shiraz, Western Cape, South Africa
She’s a beauty - another star pick and Gold Medal winner. A modern take on an Old World grape, inspired by Rhône Syrah and enhanced by New World techniques. Expect herbaceous notes, coriander, black pepper, blackcurrant, and plum, with a bold tannin structure. Ideal with food, especially darker meats.
